Quality of and for Higher education
Much is done in the name of ‘quality’ in higher education. This particular space is intended to create an opening to discuss the troubled relationship between justice and quality in higher education.
In my teaching, quality enhancement models are explored, particularly in terms of how they can serve formative purposes of innovation and engagement nationally, institutionally and individually, in addition to probing the tensions of quality assurance and management. At the moment, I am really concerned about how higher education institutions ‘school’ its academics, through the curricula of evaluation, performance management and grant-making hoops we jump through.
